A Free Concert on Sunday 10th November!

One of our new French members, Françoise Jousset, used to sing with "Les Amis de Guy" for les " Restaurants du Cœur", an associative organization. 
They are 4  ladies who sing with a guitarist and a piano player.

They will be singing next Sunday, 10th November, at la salle des fêtes de Clermond d'Excideuil at 5pm.


The entrance is free... , just come with some non-perishable goods which will be given to regional people in need.

NEDWA Annual General Meeting

The AGM took place on 24th October 2013 in Badefols d'Ans.  Meeting in the village 'Salle des Fêtes', members were presented with annual reports from the Treasurer, Secretary and President.  This was followed by voting in the new committee, which is in fact the same as the old committee!

We then voted on the chosen charity for the next year which is 'Cancer Support Dordogne'.  Last year we supported the Lanouaille Music School with various events through the year, including benefits from our monthly raffle and a music evening at the Salle de Fêtes in Lanouaille.

Lunch followed at the Auberge de Tilleuils with 42 members present!

Members will receive copies of the reports via email in early November.

November Lunch

For the November lunch, we have something totally different to the usual NEDWA format!  We are lunching in Perigueux giving members an opportunity for an inexpensive meal and some pre-Christmas shopping in the lovely shops in the town centre.
We are at the famous restaurant “l’Espace Jaune Poussin” in Perigiuex which has been featured on France 3 TV, national radio and in the national press for its inexpensive meals and buzzy atmosphere.  The lunchtime meals at this restaurant are self-service so the format of the lunch is very different from other restaurants we have visited.
There is an array of options for both the entrées and desserts – so the choice is yours!  The main course is the menu de jour, Enchaud du porc et Gratin dauphinoise, presented for the whole of the restaurant, for Tuesday 19 November. 
This restaurant is located in rue du Président Wilson in Perigueux and there is some on-street parking just over the road and adjoining side roads but extensive parking is available in the nearby underground car parks at Esplanade du Théatre or in Place Francheville.
